2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Among Best in Value Retention

It’s been a few months since we last talked about how well the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class holds its value over time, but it’s time to brag about that particular Mercedes-Benz SUV once again because Edmunds has come to the same conclusion that others have: the G-Class is a strong investment.

More specifically, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one of the best in the industry in terms of value retention, according to Edmunds, as it has one of the highest projected private party residual values after five years of any current SUV currently being sold. Obviously it’s hard to know where those values will go for sure, but the projections look good, and Edmunds puts it together as a percentage of the vehicle’s True Market Value, assuming 15,000 miles a year.

Edmunds didn’t publish the specific percentage of retained value projected after five years, but they did make it clear that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class was among the top five SUVs this year once the numbers were crunched. It’s not entirely surprising considering the strong niche following for the rugged-yet-luxurious off-road vehicle. It’s a pretty unique vehicle among the luxury segment because of the work it can do on all sorts of different terrains, and because Edmunds projects that it will be just as in-demand a few years out, it’s a fair projection for high value retention.

Not everybody is concerned about what a car will be worth a few years down the road, but for those that are, looking into buying a 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class could be a worthwhile consideration. It helps trade-ins down the road and ultimately keeps money in the pockets of our customers, and all it takes is choosing the right SUV to purchase in the first place. Sometimes, it really is that easy!
