May Proves Best-Ever for Mercedes-Benz Sales

The frequency with which consumers are buying vehicles these days is absolutely staggering, and Mercedes-Benz has seen a lot of success in the sale of several different impressive luxury automobiles. In fact, last month sales were so good across the U.S. that the result was the best-selling month of May that the brand has ever seen in this country. Already 2015 was shaping into a historic year, and the most recent sales numbers have done nothing to change anybody's mind about the direction this year's numbers are heading.

More specifically, Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the U.S. collectively sold 29,583 units last month, the most ever in May, representing an 11.1% increase over May of 2014. Everything was up, even sales of the industrial Sprinter, which saw a 22.3% boost over May of last year. That wasn't the best-seller of the month, however; the C-Class topped all Mercedes-Benz vehicles with 7,413 sales (a 40.3% boost over May 2014), while the M-Class was the best-selling SUV with 3,991 units sold. The E-Class was the third-best selling model with 3,942 units sold in May.

"We're on pace for another record sales year, with a full range of new or redesigned sport-utilities joining our lineup in the next few months," said Stephen Cannon, president and CEO of MBUSA. "At the top of that list is the star of 'Jurassic World,' the all-new GLE Coupe, which arrives in theaters next week and in showrooms later this summer."

As your Mercedes-Benz dealership, we here at Hoehn Motors, Inc. are proud of our part in making these great sales numbers happen, and we hope the rest of the year is just as successful.
