2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Offers Loads of New Tech

There are smart car people out there championing the upcoming 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class as a marvel of modern automotive technology, and quite frankly, considering everything we know about the vehicle so far, that doesn't sound like it's too far from the truth. Though not available yet for purchase, at least in the arena of safety, the E-Class is a vehicle doing things that have never been done on production vehicles before, which is why it's so easy to get excited about its imminent release in the next couple of years.

For starters, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers gorgeous adaptive 84 LED headlights, which are much higher-definition than the outgoing ones and allow for the most detailed adaptive headlights Mercedes-Benz has yet offered. The taillights also adjust as needed to reduce glare for other vehicles, which is a nice added bonus.

Beyond that, there's also the cloud-based Vehicle-to-X communication, which allows the car to share information about traffic and road conditions to make sure that real-time traffic and GPS arrival times all are as accurate as possible. It's a cloud-based service that eventually will be ubiquitous, but the E-Class will get the ball rolling with this in the 2017 model year.

E-Class vehicles also will allow more smartphone integration that provides some remote controls, as well as new advanced lane assist, adaptive cruise and collision avoidance systems that do more than any similar system ever has done.

And all this without an ounce of information yet about drivetrain or infotainment, which means that this is a vehicle that could offer even more great technology in the months to come. No wonder everybody is so excited about this thrilling new Mercedes-Benz car!
