Three Mercedes-Benz Models Take Home World Car of the Year Awards

Every year, over 75 international auto journalists cast their votes for five different "World Car of the Year" categories, and we here at Hoehn Motors, Inc. were extremely pleased to receive news from the New York Auto Show that three Mercedes-Benz models were named the winners of those five awards.

In other words, that’s three World Car of the Year awards for Mercedes-Benz, and only two of them for the rest of the auto industry to split. That's not a bad deal for fans of these vehicles, and it's especially great news for those of us that sell them.

Perhaps best of all is the fact that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class was named the overall winner, taking home the title of World Car of the Year, however other vehicles, specifically the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT and 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, also took home major awards. The AMG GT was named the World Performance Car of the Year, and the S-Class Coupe won World Luxury Car of the Year, which made for quite a sweep for these vehicles, and we're thrilled to have all three of them top their categories.

Each has its own set of boons, with the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class serving as the most lauded thanks to impeccable build quality, a luxurious and well-equipped interior, powerful engine options and some of the smoothest driving in the Mercedes-Benz family. The AMG GT, meanwhile, is a performance monster, while the S-Class Coupe provides lavish furnishings and some great engines, as well. All three are great cars, and we're thrilled to see that they won these awards. Here's hoping Mercedes-Benz sweeps all five of them next year!
