Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Crossover to Debut in Detroit

Earlier this month, Mercedes-Benz released its first official pictures of its upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, and we here at Hoehn Motors, Inc. have not stopped thinking about the car since.

All it takes is a cursory glance at the thing to understand why. It looks like a really interesting balance between a sporty coupe and a hatchback crossover, and based on what Mercedes-Benz has said about it, that's exactly what they were going for.

It's hard not to love this idea, as families are always looking for trendy new crossovers that stray as far away from station wagon/minivan territory as possible. This one provides some nice utility and storage space thanks to its unique body style, but it offers some slick engines and a sporty look to make it a whole lot cooler than the typical CUV.

"Despite the similarity to an SUV with its raised seating position and expansive all-round view, the occupants are led to believe that they are in sports rather than off-road mode," Mercedes-Benz said in a statement.

Part of that sportiness comes from what's under the hood. In the GLE450 AMG® 4MATIC® trim, there will be a 362-hp twin-turbo V6 engine that should give drivers quite a thrilling ride.

As your Mercedes-Benz dealership, we're very much looking forward to the arrival of this brand-new model, mostly because we think it's going to offer customers a best-of-both-worlds situation that they may not have seen before from this segment. It certainly is a unique car, and we can't wait to sell it!
